The California Community College Baseball Coaches Association has named San Diego Mesa College sophomore Avery Anderson the SoCal Week #11 Pitcher of the Week.

Anderson, a 6-foot-2 sophomore from Poway High School, delivered a dominant performance, tossing a one-hit complete game shutout in the Olympians’ 3–0 victory over San Diego City on April 2. He issued just two walks and recorded three strikeouts. After allowing a single in the second inning, Anderson retired 12 consecutive batters and permitted only four baserunners in total.

Mesa went on to sweep the Knights in the three-game PCAC series.
