With another impressive season performance, the San Diego Mesa men's track and field team captured its sixth consecutive Pacific Coast Athletic Conference Championship over the weekend (2018 through 2025). The Olympians scored 367 points and also grabbed 17 out of 21 scored events.
The programs continued success is due to the dedication of each student-athlete, the coaching staff, and the support from the department. This time of the year is always exciting as they start to flex their muscle leading towards the state championships. Head coach Sean Ricketts and his entire staff strategically plan throughout the year to have the athletes peaking at the right time, this year is no different.
The Olympians crushed the course, outscoring Cuyamaca College by 283 points, who placed second. San Bernardino Valley College landed in third-place with 73, and Southwestern College with 69 points.
The Olympians' upcoming schedule includes the Chris Rinne Invite on April 25-26, the SoCal Prelims at Saddleback College on May 3, the 3C2A SoCal Finals at Saddleback College on May 10, and the 3C2A State Championships at San Mateo College on May 16.
