Each year, the San Diego Mesa Track and Field program hosts its Blue vs. White Intrasquad meet, officially signaling the start of the 2026 campaign. The event focuses on team bonding and chemistry between athletes and coaches, while also giving the coaching staff an opportunity to prepare for meet-day protocols.

This year’s intrasquad was once again a success, highlighted by a draft in which coaches selected athletes for their teams. If this meet offers even a brief glimpse of what lies ahead, the 2026 team promises plenty of excitement and should once again prove to be a force to be reckoned with across the state.

The White Team claimed bragging rights in a tightly contested battle, beating the Blue Team 114–113, with the high jump deciding the outcome. A total of 13 meet records were set across both the men’s and women’s competitions.
