The San Diego Mesa College women's basketball team has earned a #10 state ranking and a #6 ranking in the South Region, according to the recent California Community College Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (CCCWBCA) rankings. The Olympians' impressive 3-0 run at the Santa Ana College Tournament propelled them into the rankings.

The Olympians carry an 8-1 record and continue to play strong. A key factor in their early success has been the performance of sophomore guard Alivia Gillespie. Hailing from Oceanside, CA, the 5'8" Gillespie is currently averaging 14.2 points per game.
