The women's basketball team is playing outstanding basketball, winning six games in December while dropping only two.

On Friday, the Olympians continue their solid run with a 56–51 victory over Compton College.

Stevie Lundquist continued her solid play, leading all scorers with 17 points and adding five rebounds. Maleah Porch also delivered a strong performance, finishing with 15 points on 6-of-14 shooting and four rebounds.

Despite five lead changes, the Olympians remained calm and pulled away with a 15–7 scoring advantage in the fourth quarter. One of the biggest factors in the win was points off turnovers, where Mesa outscored Compton 21–13. The Olympians also nearly doubled Compton's bench production, 13–7.

The team will be back on the road Tuesday, December 30, to face Moorpark College. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
