The San Diego Mesa College men's basketball team returned to the win column with a solid 76–55 victory over Imperial Valley College.
The Olympians, now 6–11 on the season, snapped a two-game losing streak after falling to Palomar College 109-67 on Saturday and Miramar College 76-55 on Wednesday. Despite recent setbacks, Mesa continues make a strong push towards the latter part of the schedule, following a balanced 4–4 performance in December.
Mesa was led by Jeremiah Parker, who led the team with 18 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks. Mateo Magna also turned in a strong game, finishing with 14 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Jacob Dallas added a double-digit scoring performance with 12 points and dominated the glass, pulling down a game-high 14 rebounds, including 11 offensive boards.
Michael Contreras contributed solid minutes as well, recording 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and a block.
The Olympians will hit the road again on Wednesday as they take on Cuyamaca College, with tip-off scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
